Planet Based Diet

I am a notoriously bad speller. I must be missing some brain connections that take care of sounds and letters. While writing this book, I misspelt the phrase “plant-based diet”; I strangely added an extra “e” and the new meaning jumped out at me...

Now, in terms of Scrabble, that could mean with just one extra letter possibly reaching that elusive triple word score. Let us consider three bonus points when we engage in a planet-based diet, an extra “E” for environment, energy and existence. To be a good designer you have to have the talent to see the beauty in mistakes and this is one of my best so far.

A planet-based diet perfectly incorporates my philosophies and ideas about respecting nature and my own body.

A planet-based diet perfectly incorporates my philosophies and ideas about respecting nature and my own body. Researchers believe that a weekday (5 days out of seven) or “no animal products before dinner” vegan diet does the environment more good than a vegetarian diet in total. In fact, some say that running our bodies on a vegan diet has a much bigger impact on the lowering of greenhouse gases than we could possibly achieve with reductions to travel or transport.

I like the term planet-based diet. With each mouthful, I bless not only my body but also, like him, all the rabbits in the fields. Having noticed the positive changes in how I feel since I changed to a planet-based diet, I wonder what changes could be made to the world if just a few more of our purchases were also focused on planet-based decisions.
